MATHEMATICS

 A one day training programme of Youth Red Cross was conducted in the college by the combined coordination of college union and indian red cross society. The function was inaugurated by Rev. Fr M. Jacob. YRC unit inauguratin was done by Prof. Mohandas, IRS kollam vice chairman. The function was chaired by Mr. Dinesh Mangalassery. The first session was about first aid that we have to provide at emergency situations including CPR. It was facilitated by Dr. Athura Das. Second session was bout disaster management training. It was guided by Mr. Harshalal Sharma. He practically showed how to handle  a disaster situation. After that we got a certificate of YRC for participation. Overall we had a great day.

 A three day programme on micro teaching was conducted as part of the B.Ed curriculum. On the first day micro teaching demonstration class was conducted by the M.Ed students. Skill of introduction,skill of reinforcement, skill of probing questions, skill of using blackboard,skill of questioning etc were the skill practiced by them.They also pointed out the components related to each skill. At last they clarified our doubts.                  Micro teaching session 1 was conducted as part of the B.Ed curriculum. Every student had taken the class for the proficiency of one teaching skill for 5-7 minutes each. It was followed by a criticism of 3 observers .It was supervised by our optional teacher Dr. Leena Vahid. I had taken the skill of explaining on the topic sum of angles of a polygon on the first session.                  The second session of micro teaching was held on the next day. As before each student practices a certain skill. I had taken the skill of reinforcement on the topic

 A games workshop was conducted in our college as part of physical education. Nibin sir coordinated all the programmes. He explained the rules and regulations of the games to be conducted. Carroms, Chess and Badminton were the competition items. the games were conducted on the basis of houses. The students who were not participating in the items were given the duties of refreshment committee, programme committee and official committee. All the teacher trainees gave their maximum throughout this day.The day was really awsome and we enjoyed well.
